Pinetree Bonsai

Just repotted the now three, four years old pinetree bonsai, to a larger planter.

My wife's aunt is a friend of Mr. Reiji Takagi, the honorary chairman of the Meiko Shokai company and the founder of the Tokyo Bonsai Museum, and was kind enough to give us two tickets. Have you ever seen Meiko Shokai Ad boards at the Osaki station of the Yamanote line? Those beautiful Bonsai pictures. This bonsai was bought when I was there with my wife.

盆栽を植え替えた。高木禮二氏の盆栽美術館に行ったときに買ったもの。もう3年以上前になるか。山手線の大崎駅にある明光商会の看板知ってます？あれらの盆栽は皆高木氏のもの。あれの野梅が見たくて行ったんだよなー。

And it is when I googled about the Bonsai Museum today, that I found out the museum was closed since October 2004! Oh no. So sad.

I am still living my life, my pine tree is still a baby but is growing everyday. We live strong.

んで今知ったんだけど、2004年10月に閉園してるんだね。うわーショック。
